Book one of a trilogy, setting up a world of intrigue, danger, plotting, violence and the potential for love. It was an interesting story (I haven't read books 2 and 3, yet), but it could have done with a bit of editing. There are some interior dialogues that go on and on, mainly in Nora but also in Kellan, and they tend to drag the story down. Still, I liked Kellan's and Nora's interactions and was willing to keep going.

Train to Snowhere is a sweet, emotional journey with fantastic scenery--both outside the train and in the steamy interactions between the two main characters! I loved how real these guys felt, how genuine their connection. By the end, I didn't feel like I was reading a short story at all. I finished with a happy sigh.
Train to Snowhere is a lovely story about second chances and being in the right place at the right time. Brigham Vaughn writes with emotion and prose that will leave you wishing this story would never end.
First off, I love the title. Secondly, I’ve discovered I really love a good second chance romance, and this story is a perfect example. Noah and Simon met in college, but the time was never right for them to get together as more than friends before Noah left to join a minor league hockey team. Now, a decade later, they run into each other on the Snow Train, a sightseeing day trip in Canada. Both men are unattached and it’s clear the years between hasn’t dimmed the spark between them. While they finally get a chance to be together, they need to figure out if this day trip can actually turn into something more. Brigham Vaughn’s characters always feel like flesh and blood people the reader happens to meet and start talking with. I could feel the longing between Noah and Simon, and was eager to see if they got to their HEA. I am a life-long resident of Michigan, and I know Brigham lives in Michigan as well, so I was happy to see Sault Ste Marie, or The Soo, both Michigan and Canadian sides, used as a setting, with the cold and beauty of an Upper Peninsula winter captured perfectly.
This was such a sweet story of two old college friends reuniting and finally finding their “right moment.”

I recently had the pleasure of reading Gail Z. Martin's The Summoner, the first installment of the Chronicles of the Necromancer. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately grabbed Scourge, the first book in her Darkhurst series, off the shelf at my local bookstore. Now I have TWO new series to finish reading!
If you enjoy fantasy, give this a chance. Prepare to be entertained for hours by a gripping plot, compelling characters, and a unique world.

From the opening pages, the reader gets drawn into a world of intrigue and suspense. The writer continues to hold your attention without fail, don't miss this one, it reads like a binge-worthy show on Netflix!
