Short reads are always my kind of treat. Will sure pick this up.
An intriguing work that bends the rules and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The book leaves you with barely any room to breathe and leaves you hungry for more. Luckily book two has already been released to satiate voracious readers such as myself.
Haunting cover! The blurb sounds very interesting, a mix of sci-fi and horror that compliments the cover. Promises to offer an exciting story.

This is a funny book that is easy to read and has a brilliantly dysfunctional central character that I could really relate to.

From the opening pages, the reader gets drawn into a world of intrigue and suspense. The writer continues to hold your attention without fail, don't miss this one, it reads like a binge-worthy show on Netflix!

Monticelli's original Italian has been translated to English for her Red Desert series, giving a charming flavor to the prose. Her characters are 3d, and her hard sci-fi setting is researched impeccably. I've read Mark's 'The Ultimate Inferior Beings', which I most remember for its brilliantly 'Heath Robinson' technologies - wonderfully over-complicated mechanisms that (in view of Mr Roman's scientific background) one suspects might actually work. And I read, too, The Worst Man on Mars, which is another incarnation of British humour at its lunatic best. Messrs Roman and Duke clearly work together very well - though, as I've said before, if they'd ever been at school together, I suspect they'd have been considered a disruptive influence on the class.
He's in my all-time top five funny sci-fi authors. Ok, let's be honest, if we exclude the 'Douglas', he's my number one.
I love humorous science fiction--especially British! I can't wait to read this one.

A great alien world to explore. Imaginative and fun to read.
From the opening pages, the reader gets drawn into a world of intrigue and suspense. The writer continues to hold your attention without fail, don't miss this one, it reads like a binge-worthy show on Netflix!

I'm a big fan of Jay Allan's work and love his style. Lots of great action, he's a writer who is right in my wheelhouse.

An amazing futurism tale! Michael W. Huard puts together a dystopian tale which is as believable as it is frightening. Excellent sharp dialogue and plot development combine into this epic tale. Put it next on your summer reading list!

I picked this up to write a blurb then couldn't put it down! Really good SF about a future where Statists and Corporations are at war. It has a detailed and interesting outer space setting, an original take on warp speed and likeable characters. Great stuff.

Great cover and an intriguing premise.
I'm delighted to include Patty Jansen's Ambassador 1: Seeing Red among my "select few." Deftly and swiftly, her beginning shifts into high, machine-gunning intriquing clues vis a vis later reveals. One knows just enough about what's going on to continue reading without scratching one's head, but not enough to make the whole book a fait accompli. Quick immersion in tight, realistic action promises a great read.
No matter what Patty Jansen writes, there is always that underlying personality that makes her books interesting AND there are her sometimes wildly imaginative worlds that forgo the bounds of what we all know and expect. They give us something entertaining and surprising. And she is Australian. If that comment doesn't make sense then you will have to just read her stories to see what I mean. It is meant in a good way.
