This second chance holiday novel grabbed my heart from the start to finish. It has sweet moment, some angsty, and romantic and sizzling scenes as well. Perfect story to read with a glass of wine, some cookies, and crackling fire during this holiday season. I definitely wouldn't miss this one!

Kaje Harper's A Midnight Clear was a wonderful read. I loved Adric and Royce and their HEA was made all the more sweet by the path they took to get here.

I recently had the pleasure of reading Gail Z. Martin's The Summoner, the first installment of the Chronicles of the Necromancer. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately grabbed Scourge, the first book in her Darkhurst series, off the shelf at my local bookstore. Now I have TWO new series to finish reading!
If you enjoy fantasy, give this a chance. Prepare to be entertained for hours by a gripping plot, compelling characters, and a unique world.

I adore the work of DK Sutton, and Accidental Detour is everything I love about her work and a Christmas Story! Jonas is such a great character and Zane just smolders! I was rooting for them all the way. The set-up is fabulous what unfolds. A great short story and all I can say is I wanted more!

Accidental Detour is a brilliant short story that grabbed me from the first page. These two vivid main characters have fantastic chemistry to keep the pages flipping. I love all the books in Shane Morton's Point Pleasant Holiday Series so I was excited to see this short story! Tad and Wally are complete opposites who've secretly been crushing on each other. The chemistry between them heats up the pages, and their story draws you in. Throughout the series, the author brings us into this town and this world, and we never want to leave. The Point Pleasant stories can be read as standalones, but once you start, you won't want to stop until you've read every one. I can't wait to see what comes next!
The concept of a murder mystery at a drag queen pageant is interesting and different to me. I will pick up this book by Shane K Morton just by looking at the cover, and reading the blurb.

Jane Austen’s books are prominently discussed and critiqued by the main character, Will (whose full name is Fitzwilliam and I immediately wanted to name someone that), who is an English professor teaching a sharp group of students during a J-term, or short winter term, class. Neil Plakcy expertly allows the reader to feel as if they are reading a modern day take on an Austen novel, and it was wonderfully soothing and engaging. Will’s love interest is Jeremy, and their coming together and drifting apart and coming together again was depicted in a believable and understandable manner. Both are mature men, in their late thirties, which is a nice change for a gay romance. Will is trying to move on from a devastating loss, so at first he is tentative, then eventually eager to enjoy another chance at love, all while second guessing himself and Jeremy as happens in a new relationship. Jeremy’s background, and the gutting emotional wound that brought him and his sexy Scottish accent to Vermont and into Will’s orbit, is original and adds to his emotional layers. I won’t say much about it, because I liked learning about Jeremy’s past along the way with Will. Highly recommend this story, with a steaming cup of tea and a snuggly blanket.
Back in the day, Neil Plakcy was one of my first mm romance reads, I love his way with words and the complex characters he brings to life. I discovered him through his Mahu Investigations series but his contemporary is just as well written. You can't go wrong with 'Winter Term' a sweet slightly angsty novella about two men who have an unexpected second chance at love.

What I love about Hank’s characters are that they’re sexy and witty, but also very relatable and such fun to be with. In this refreshing story Tobias and Nash are mature men (and yet still fun, did I say that before? LOL) and they turn the fake date trope on its head with their honest and irresistible attraction. In amongst plenty of family and friends, they shine out as a couple that just Had To Be!

This is an absolutely charming contemporary about two middle-aged guys who meet by accident and then quickly develop strong feelings for each other. Nash and Tobias are both handsome and fit, but not overly so, and there's a very realistic emotional connection. The dialogue is funny and charming and this is definitely one of my favorite recent reads!
Hank Edwards writes prose that is easy on the eyes and as satisfying as your favorite home-cooked meal. His characters are witty, deep, and relatable… and though "Fake Date Flip-Flop" is a modern spin on the screwball comedies of yesteryear, you’ll find yourself completely invested in Nash and Tobias and their pursuit of romantic bliss. Do yourself a favor… find a comfortable chair and journey with them to the snowy Williamsville Inn where magic awaits.
A snowy weekend full of obligations awaits Nash and Tobias at the Williamsville Inn. It's a perfect setup for one of my favorite tropes, the fake boyfriend! After meeting at the hotel's front desk, Nash and Tobias bond over the events that have brought them to the Inn. In no time, they decide they'll be fake boyfriends and accompany each other to the weekend's events rather than having to show up single. It's an easy agreement to make since Nash and Tobias feel the attraction. I loved these guys. It's great to see a couple in their 40s going after their HEA. I loved the various scenarios Hank Edwards puts them into, from private moments together to interactions with family and friends. Nash and Tobias's chemistry is palpable from the beginning and kept me turning pages to see how the guys navigate the obstacles to get their happy.

She writes stories that you can't put down. A wonderful imagination coupled with a love of history.
You can't go wrong with a story set in the Chronicles of the Necromancer world! I love her characters and you get sucked in from the first chapter!
Gail Z Martin never disappoints. Her books are fast-paced, roiling adventures that leave you wanting more.
I recently had the pleasure of reading Gail Z. Martin's The Summoner, the first installment of the Chronicles of the Necromancer. I enjoyed it so much that I immediately grabbed Scourge, the first book in her Darkhurst series, off the shelf at my local bookstore. Now I have TWO new series to finish reading!
If you enjoy fantasy, give this a chance. Prepare to be entertained for hours by a gripping plot, compelling characters, and a unique world.
A great story for fans of epic fantasy.

I adore the work of DK Sutton, and Accidental Detour is everything I love about her work and a Christmas Story! Jonas is such a great character and Zane just smolders! I was rooting for them all the way. The set-up is fabulous what unfolds. A great short story and all I can say is I wanted more!

Accidental Detour is a brilliant short story that grabbed me from the first page. These two vivid main characters have fantastic chemistry to keep the pages flipping. I laughed my way through the safety-conscious kidnapping and road trip interrogation! You'll find yourself rooting for their HEA despite the complications that swiftly arise. BL Maxwell’s stories are always a great read
BL Maxwell takes you to Park City, UT for a novella about a guy who runs into trouble on a double black diamond ski run. Saved by a ski patrol guy with beautiful blue eyes, Jordan ends up staying with him for the remaining days of his vacation. This is a sweet story set in the midst of a cold winter with two men who are open to the possibility of love. It's the perfect heartwarming read for a cold afternoon.
When an unfortante skiing accident lands Jordan in the arms of a handsome ski patroler, breaking his leg suddenly doesn't seem so bad. This was a super sweet and adorable read with lovely characters you can't help but get invested in.
BL Maxwell's Double Black Diamonds was a pleasure to read that hit all the high notes of a satisfying forced proximity winter romance between the hapless skier and the hot ski patroller who rescues him. Great chemistry! I wouldn't mind taking a deeper dive with these two.
Double Black Diamonds takes you on a sweet ride that leaves you desperately wanting more! Trace and Jordan are perfect for each other, and it’s love at first sight.
