I enjoyed it so much that I immediately grabbed Scourge, the first book in her Darkhurst series, off the shelf at my local bookstore. Now I have TWO new series to finish reading!
If you enjoy fantasy, give this a chance. Prepare to be entertained for hours by a gripping plot, compelling characters, and a unique world.

I never should have let Steph drag me to that Psychic Fair. Metaphysical nonsense doesn’t suit me, Seattle doesn't suit me, and I think I might be allergic to patchouli. I’m definitely allergic to car accidents, to giant elk falling from the sky, and most importantly, to the huge, blue dragon that’s attached its obnoxious tail to my navel.
Just try having a smart-ass dragon nattering in your brain twenty-four-seven. Better yet, don’t try it. I recommend skipping the entire, batshit crazy, ordeal. Avoid black cats. Don’t get that Reiki treatment, and definitely don’t wake up alone, surrounded by other dragons who know way more than you do about what the hell is going on.

I loved this story! It drew me in and hooked me. I stayed up late reading it. Astrid’s character while starting out thinking she’s a monster and unsure of her past, comes to love and appreciate herself. In her quest to save the survivors of her village, she learns the truth of her past, and must come to terms with it and make the choice of who she wants to be. She’s strong, courageous, and vulnerable—all the things a good heroine needs to be. I look forward to reading the next story in the series.

I loved this story! It drew me in and hooked me. I stayed up late reading it. Astrid’s character while starting out thinking she’s a monster and unsure of her past, comes to love and appreciate herself. In her quest to save the survivors of her village, she learns the truth of her past, and must come to terms with it and make the choice of who she wants to be. She’s strong, courageous, and vulnerable—all the things a good heroine needs to be. I look forward to reading the next story in the series.

Just think if that was possible? This story has so much exciting potential when it comes to 'what-if' scenarios. Add the sci-fi element to a thrilling romance, I believe this book has every ingredient needed for a great book.

From the opening pages, the reader gets drawn into a world of intrigue and suspense. The writer continues to hold your attention without fail, don't miss this one, it reads like a binge-worthy show on Netflix!
