Big screen material! This talented author brings the reader into a new world where adventure awaits at every turn. The descriptions are well though out, the characters pop off of the page. Don't miss this one!
Monticelli's original Italian has been translated to English for her Red Desert series, giving a charming flavor to the prose. Her characters are 3d, and her hard sci-fi setting is researched impeccably. Novella-length book one, "Point of no return," serves as an introduction, constructing the hooks that power future volumes and ramping up the tension and mystery.

Anyway, I share this with you because it was also the first time (time, time, time…) I met Ezekiel and Jacob Trate, or any other member of the Trate family.
